Who are the greatest players in Los Angeles Chargers history?

The Chargers began play all the way back in 1960 and while the team is still waiting to hoist the Lombardi Trophy for the first time, there have been a great number of terrific, unforgettable players in the franchise’s long history.

The Chargers began play in Los Angeles but stayed for just one season before moving to San Diego, where they would stay for over five decades. Since 2017, the team has been back in the City of Angels. This list will of course cover their time in both cities.

While few things are less arbitrary than compiling a greatest of all-time list that emcompasses nearly 60 years of play, I will attempt to rank the top 30 players that have ever donned a Chargers jersey.

Many things were taken into consideration, including career statistics, Pro Bowl appearances and overall value to the long-term history of the franchise. Still, this isn’t a science and is based purely on opinion.
