NFL playoff scenarios, Week 14: How New England Patriots, Kansas City Chiefs, New Orleans Saints can clinch postseason berths

Week 13 in the NFL saw the Los Angeles Rams become the first team to clinch a spot in the playoffs when they locked up the NFC West division title with a 30-16 win over the Detroit Lions.

In Week 14, when the Rams visit the Chicago Bears for Sunday Night Football, Los Angeles can clinch a first-round bye.

The Rams could be joined in the postseason by as many as three other teams when Week 14 concludes following Monday Night Football between the Minnesota Vikings and Seattle Seahawks.

Here are the Week 14 playoff scenarios, per NFL Communications.

NOTE: The scenarios have been updated to take into account the Titans’ 30-9 win over the Jaguars on Thursday. With Tennessee’s victory, the Houston Texans and Los Angeles Chargers cannot clinch playoff spots on Sunday.

CLINCHED: Los Angeles Rams – NFC West division title

LOS ANGELES RAMS (11-1) (at Chicago (8-4), Sunday night, 8:20 PM ET, NBC)

Los Angeles clinches a first round bye with:

1) LAR win

NEW ORLEANS SAINTS (10-2) (at Tampa Bay (5-7), Sunday, 1:00 PM ET, FOX)

New Orleans clinches NFC South division title with:

1) NO win or tie OR

2) CAR loss or tie

New Orleans clinches a playoff berth with:

1) MIN loss + PHI loss or tie + WAS loss or tie
