Los Angeles Chargers re-sign LB Hayes Pullard, waive K Michael Badgley

The Chargers announced that they re-signed free agent linebacker Hayes Pullard to the 53-man roster Tuesday, per the team’s official website.

To clear space for Pullard, Los Angeles waived kicker Michael Badgley, which means that Caleb Sturgis will retain the kicking duties going forward.

It’s good to see Pullard back on the roster as he showed to make some big strides in training camp and preseason action and looked far more explosive and just a better overall athlete than in his 2017 campaign.

There’s no surprise to see the Chargers adding another LB as Kyzir White and Jatavis Brown both have had lingering injuries throughout the majority of the season so the depth was much needed.

Badgley served as L.A.’s kicker while Sturgis nursed a quad injury for two weeks. He was perfect in all of his kicks as he went three for three on his field goals and hit all seven extra points in wins over the Browns and Titans.
