Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers completed 13 of 26 passing attempts for 228 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday’s 25-17 win over the Seahawks.
With his start, Rivers became just the fourth quarterback in NFL history to surpass the 200 consecutive games started mark. The only other quarterbacks to have accomplished this are Brett Favre (297), Eli Manning (210) and Peyton Manning (208).
As far as his performance, it wasn’t the best that he has put up on the season as he only completed 50 percent of his passes. The veteran QB connected with wide receivers Tyrell Williams and Mike Williams to give him the pair of touchdowns on the day.
With Rivers’ touchdown passes, that puts his streak at nine games with at least two touchdowns thrown in a single game.
He’ll look to get back on track Week 10 against the Raiders.
