The Chargers are hiring!
The team has seen a massive uptick in interest this season, thanks to the stellar, historic seasons of Philip Rivers, Melvin Gordon, Keenan Allen and the rookie sensation Derwin James.
Now that Los Angeles is starting to generate popularity again, the organization is preparing to make even more room for new fans with a bandwagon application that was created by a fan:
Perhaps most comically, applicants are asked how many kids Philip Rivers has, who the “Jack Boys” are. They are also asked to name a few well-known players — defensive end Joey Bosa, running back Austin Ekeler, safety Derwin James and center Mike Pouncey. And are given a disclaimer that the offer is valid throughout the duration of playoffs, and must re-apply for the 2019 season.
The 9-3 Chargers look to keep building up the buzz as they head into the strength of their schedule seeking their first playoff appearance since 2013. People shouldn’t count out Los Angeles for the division either, only being a game back from the Chiefs. The two teams will meet each other next Thursday.
It’s been quite the ride for the Chargers after losing a lot of fans due to the transition from San Diego to L.A. But if they make a strong run, then it shouldn’t come as a surprise to see many of those back on board.
