Bercovici was privileged to locate a new property with the San Diego Fleet in the recently fashioned Alliance of American Soccer (AAF) league. But Bercovici’s debut was not all sunshine and rainbows.

Bercovici took a monster strike from linebacker Shaan Washington of the San Antonio Commanders that sent the quarterback, the ball and his helmet flying in many instructions. In the NFL, that form of strike would’ve probably been flagged and it would not be astonishing to see Washington earn a suspension of some form.

Bercovici was later on benched in the 3rd quarter of the activity. To make things even worse for the previous Chargers QB, it was his 26th birthday.
