Denver Broncos are underdogs against Los Angeles Chargers

The Denver Broncos (3-6) and Los Angeles Chargers (7-2) are heading in completely different directions. But the Broncos played two close games against the Kansas City Chiefs (9-1), so perhaps they’re better than their record — or at least good at sticking with division opponents.

Oddsmakers don’t necessarily think Denver will get blown out in Los Angeles in Week 11. The Broncos are underdogs, but they’re not massive underdogs despite playing on the road.

The Chargers are considered seven-point favorites, according to the Westgate Las Vegas (via OddsShark.com). Denver is 3-5-1 against the spread this year.

The Broncos will face Los Angeles again later this season, hosting the Chargers in their season finale on Sunday, Dec. 30. With the playoffs already nearly out of reach, Denver probably won’t have much to play for in that contest.

As of week, though, the Broncos still have a shot to reach the postseason (about a two percent chance). An upset win over L.A. would go a long way toward potentially turning Denver’s season around. Don’t bet on it, though.
