The Denver Broncos (3-6) are on the brink as the losses begin to mount. It doesn’t get any easier in Week 11 as they travel to take on a strong Los Angeles Chargers (7-2) team that is currently on a six-game winning streak. Oddmakers feel the same as they put the Chargers at a touchdown advantage over the Broncos in this game.
“I thought we were going to have a quarterback. I thought we were going to keep a lot of the guys on the defense,” he said. “That’s why I took that haircut. A huge haircut, because I wanted to stay here and be a part of the best defense to play it. I didn’t know that Wade (Phillips) was going to end up leaving. I thought I would have Wade for a while. Nothing against Joe Woods, I just was really comfortable with where I was at. Then everything changed.”
It certainly seems like this is now a team in transition, with plenty of players looking for fresh starts – either here with new staff or elsewhere. How this team continues to put together strong, albeit losing, performances each week is a testament to the players desire to compete and win games.
Unfortunately, for all involved, the wins just aren’t happening again this season.
Kickoff is at 2:05 p.m. Mile High time on Sunday, November 18, 2018 at ROKiT Field at Stubhub Center in Carson, California.
