Daughter of Brandon Mebane of Los Angeles Chargers dies after seven weeks

COSTA MESA, Calif. — Los Angeles Chargers defensive tackle Brandon Mebane explained that his 7-week-old daughter, Makenna, died Thursday.

“I am nonetheless grateful, and I thank God every single working day,” Mebane explained. “I nonetheless pray. We are getting it a single working day at a time.”

Makenna was born Nov. 12 with trisomy 13. Simply because of her faulty heart affliction, she did not have a heart valve, which expected surgical treatment to take care of.

“She just kept obtaining bleeding from her abdomen, and then they tried out to feed her, it was not good for her liver,” Mebane explained whilst holding back again tears.

Mebane, his wife, Amena, and their two kids, Mahailey and Makai, stayed in Omaha, Nebraska, to receive healthcare support immediately after the beginning of Makenna.

Mebane explained his wife and young children are back again in Los Angeles, and he intends to play towards the New England Patriots on Sunday. Mebane, 33, is in his 3rd period with the Chargers. A defensive co-captain, he has 40 tackles, a sack and a compelled fumble in 12 online games.
