Chargers Wednesday injury report: WR Keenan Allen held out

The Los Angeles Chargers released their injury report following the team’s practice on Wednesday. Here is the full report, courtesy of ESPN’s Eric D. Williams.

The most notable thing on the report is that starting wide receiver Keenan Allen didn’t practice due to a knee injury. He suffered a minor tweak late in Sunday’s game against the Rams. Coach Anthony Lynn said Monday he thought Allen was fine physically, so Allen’s absence could be precautionary.

Defensive end Joey Bosa is likely out until Week 9. Bosa continues to nurse a bone bruise on his foot, and has yet to see the field in 2018.

Offensive tackle Joe Barksdale didn’t participate today (knee), and Lynn said that he will be out for this weekend’s game. Wide receiver Travis Benjamin was limited (foot) and could be another game-time decision.

OT Russell Okung and fullback Derek Watt were full participants.
