Chargers coach Anthony Lynn, his coordinators and the team’s talent is the reason why they are off to a red-hot 5-2 start to the 2018 season.
This was a team that was bashed by the media nonstop after they left the city of San Diego. But they are now seen boasting them all the time after showing what they are capable of doing on the field.
Offensive tackle Joe Barksdale is a firm believer that Lynn has what it takes to lead the Bolts to the promise land this season with the experience that he has under his belt, including two championships with the Denver Broncos in 1997 and 1998.
“He’s a former player that wants to win, and he’s coaching players and coaches that want to win. He’s got that experience, and it’s always great to have a guy that’s been there before, so to speak, because he knows how to get there and he knows what’s not going to get you there, too,” Barksdale said, per the team’s official website.
It was impressive to see what L.A. was able to do after their bumpy start in 2017 when Lynn took over the team. If anything, they could have easily given up on their season after starting 0-4, but the way they were able to turn things around speaks directly to Lynn’s steady hand and the way he changed the culture of the franchise.
Los Angeles possesses the second-easiest schedule in the NFL, so a title could possibly be in store for them if they keep riding this hot streak that they’re currently on.
