The NFL trade deadline is at 1:00 p.m. PT this coming Tuesday, October 30.

The NFL extended its trading deadline last year in hopes that more teams would get involved in the trade market. Trades are fun, and fans love to speculate on who could go where.

While the NFL trade deadline will never resemble that of Major League Baseball, trades are happening at a much more frequent pace. In the last few days, the Oakland Raiders have traded Amari Cooper and the New York Giants have moved both Eli Apple and Damon “Snacks” Harrison.

At 5-2 and holding one of the best records in the AFC, the Chargers are contenders this year and thus, should be considered “buyers” on this trade market. While general manager Tom Telesco may feel that the team doesn’t need to be tweaked in any way, there are some moves the team should consider making.

Each of these moves will help the team not only the rest of this season, but going forward. The idea here was to target teams that aren’t going to be contenders this season and approach them with an offer of a future draft pick that might help their plans to rebuild.

The Raiders and Giants have seemingly mailed it in this season and its possible there are other teams on the cusp of doing the same.

The Chargers are a good team, but there are some holes. Making one of the deals listed here could help fill one of those holes and give the team an even better chance to get to Atlanta in February.
