The Chargers are entering Week 16 with some momentum on their side after defeating the Chiefs last Thursday.
Los Angeles will host the Ravens in hopes to win their next two games, so they could have a chance to win the division. Baltimore is no slouch though, as they possess an 8-6 record, and are seeking a playoff berth.
Here are three pregame storylines surrounding the Bolts heading into Saturday’s game:
Lamar Jackson took over under center for the Ravens after Joe Flacco got injured, but he has retained the starting duties since then. Jackson is one of the fastest quarterbacks in the league, and he has shown that he can beat defenses with his legs.
Jackson has started against the Bengals, Raiders, Falcons, Chiefs and Buccaneers. They are all ranked among the bottom nine defenses in the NFL, with Kansas City and Cincinnati at the bottom of the list. Los Angeles, however, sit at top-10 in yards allowed per game (329.1) and in rushing (103.7).
L.A. just showed that they were able to shutdown one of the other league’s prolific quarterbacks last weekend in Patrick Mahomes. Jackson may have the advantage in terms of speed, so if the Chargers aren’t game planned properly for him, it could be a long night.
